SUBJECT: Rock the Walk 2025 - Week 2 Updates

Week 2 Update

We're Halfway There -- Let's Keep Going! 


We’ve reached the midway point of our Rock the Walk and raised $9,320, thanks to your incredible support, we’re making progress! But we’re not done yet—there’s still time to push forward and reach our goal!


Every donation makes a difference, and we need your help to keep the momentum going. Share your student’s page, encourage friends and family to contribute, and let’s finish strong! We also accept cash or check donations (payable to Forestdale PTO). Please give these to your student's teacher, and we will add them to your student's fundraising page.


Check out last week's newsletter for resources to help with your fundraising plans and if you would like to volunteer at the Rock the Walk Celebration Event on Friday, April 4th, the volunteer form is now live on our PTO site.

Friday Raffle

All students who have participated in the fundraising are eligible to be entered into the weekly Friday Raffle. Three (3) students will be randomly selected to receive one of our Sponsor Prizes. The Forestdale PTO will send a follow-up email informing the parent/guardian of the prize as prizes will be handed to the classroom teacher to send home with the student.

To be eligible you must make a donation of any amount by Thursday by 6 PM either online or you can send in cash or check (checks are to be made payable to Forestdale PTO).

It's the battle for the top spot—but it’s still anyone’s game! Keep pushing, and you or your classroom/grade could take the lead!

Individual Challenges

Grade K - 4

🥇 1st Place:Colin Dunleavy is leading the way with an impressive $500!
🥈 2nd Place:Jamie Nguyen is close behind with $450 — just a small push could mean taking the lead!
🥉 3rd Place: It's a tie! Will Tang and Myles Tang are making it a tough race with $260 each — one big boost could shake up the leaderboard!

Grade 5 - 8

🥇 1st Place:Brayden McDougall is holding the top spot with $430 — fantastic work!
🥈 2nd Place:Lyla Golden Bates is right behind with $410 — still in striking distance!
🥉 3rd Place:Connor Nguyen is close on their heels with $300 — anything can happen!

Family Showdown

🥇 Team Golden-Bates is leading the charge with a whopping $620 — amazing work!
🥈 Team Tang isn't too far behind with $520 — just one push together could have them in the lead!
🥉 Team Williams is keeping the momentum with $330 — and still very much in the game!

 Pizza Party Battle

Grade K-4

🥇 1st Place:Team McManus (1st Grade) – Leading with an impressive $1,235! 
🥈 2nd Place: It's tied between Team Rogers, (Kindergarten) and Team Sullivan (3rd Grade) – Holding strong with $550 each! 
🥉 3rd Place:Team Piso (2nd Grade) – Close behind with $475! 

Grade 5 - 8

🥇 1st Place:Team Kane – Out front with a fantastic $1,425! 
🥈 2nd Place:Team Foley – Chasing close behind with $765! Keep pushing! 
🥉 3rd Place:Team Despres – Right on their heels with $665! So close! 

Ice Cream Party Battle

Grade K-4

🥇 1st Place: Our 1st Grader is on fire with an incredible $1,500 raised! Amazing job — keep it up!

🥈 2nd Place: Our determined 3rd Grader and 4th Graders are both kneck and kneck with $1,100 each — you're right in the chase! 

🥉 3rd Place: The awesome 2nd Graders are holding strong with $940 — so close to moving up! 

Grade 5 - 8

🥇1st Place:6th Graders are absolutely crushing it with an incredible $2,855 raised — amazing work! Keep that momentum going!

🥈 2nd Place:7th Graders are holding strong with $770 — you're not far behind! Keep pushing, and you could take the lead! 

🥉 3rd Place:5th Graders are on the board with $325 — great start! There's still plenty of time to climb the ranks!

Rock the Walk 2025

Rock the Walk is a one-of-a-kind fundraiser where every dollar makes a difference! Instead of selling items, we collect direct donations—allowing us to keep 94%–97% of the funds raised to support our school. Plus, it’s easy to share with friends and family near and far!

 

During our four-week-long fundraiser, from March 3th to March 28th, we will be collecting donations. To culminate the event, we will organize a fun-filled celebration on April 4th, consisting of walking laps around our school followed by a lively dance party featuring delicious food and desserts.

 

The funds raised through this initiative will be utilized to support various educational endeavors such as field trips, assemblies, classroom supplies, STEM programs, and community-building events. We believe that even a small donation can make a significant impact in helping us achieve our goal, and we sincerely appreciate your support.
